LATEST NEWS 9 October 2019: MATCHING DONATION BY DR CHRIS McGRATH. We are delighted to announce that Dr Chris McGrath (oral maxillofacial Surgeon) has promised to match each attending ticket purchased with a matching non-ticket donation. This is a very generous offer to a very good cause. Dr. McGrath is also the lead singer and bass player of Time Doctors who are performing at the event. Please make the most of this generosity by purchasing your tickets and telling all of your friends.

EXPLANATION OF FUNDS: So that everyone is aware of the budget for this function, the overhead expenses will be somewhere between $600-900. The net average margin per ticket purchase is about $15. So we need about 50 adult tickets to break even. We are hoping for about 120-150 adult equivalent purchases which can result in about $1500 to MND Victoria. But it will be up to everyone to get behind it, bring your friends and family and make it a great night.

Motor neurone disease (MND) involves progressive degeneration of motor neurons throughout the body. The disease progresses over several years and usually results in death following periods of declining paralysis. There are about 2 people diagnosed with MND each day and about 2 people die each day as a result of MND. There are about 50 people in the greater Geelong area with this disease, about 420 in Victoria and about 2000 in Australia. There is no single group of people that are more or less affected. There is no currently known cure for MND.

MND Victoria provide care, support and vital assistive equipment to all Victorians living with MND to help them live better for longer. The Association has also been funding research into cause, treatment and cure for over 2 decades.
